facial featuresSince times immemorial, we have been trying to read the faces of the people we meet. Some say that in the primitive ages, humans had a greater ability to read a person’s character, their intentions, and their nature. More sensitive people may still have retained some traces of it.

Face reading is still being practiced today. However, there are differences in interpretation in various countries.

So let’s take a look and find out to what extent the faces of people you meet act as windows to their soul.

Face Shape

The main shapes are round, square, oblong and triangular.

• Round

A round face signifies openness. The person is likely to have an emotional personality. He could be very caring and interested in long and stable partnership, and be prone to sexual fantasies.

• Square

A square face makes a person look aggressive and domineering. They are usually very logical and decisive in their thinking.

• Oblong

An oblong face denotes a person who tends to be practical and methodical. They tend to have a muscular physique.

• Triangular

Triangular faces are usually linked to a thin body and intellectualism. The Chinese method says that such persons are creative and sensitive, but may have a fiery disposition.

Forehead

• A Wide forehead indicates an idealist. He has both intelligence and practicality. Such a person tends to be full of ideas.

• A Flat forehead belongs to one who bases everything on facts. It indicates pragmatism and logicality.

• An Exaggerated forehead shows a dreamer. One who is ambitious. However, he needs a proper plan of action to get ahead with them.

Eyes

It is said that the eyes are windows to one’s soul. The shape of the eyes reveal a lot.

Prominent and bright eyes display a steady nature, while weak, shifty eyes indicate the opposite. Unevenly set eyes indicate a person who can look at things from different perspectives, often gaining startling insights. Slanted eyes indicate a person who is always on the lookout for the main chance. Wide set eyes show tolerance and broadmindedness while narrow set eyes may show a narrow view of the world. Deep set eyes are associated with an observant and intensive nature and creativity

Eyebrows

Eyebrows may be fine or bushy, joined or separate.

Weak eyebrows suggest a person who lacks confidence and decision making abilities. Bushy eyebrows indicate an assertive person and a strong personality.

Joined eyebrows may show an intense natureand a tendency to jealousy. Such persons may also be very possessive and have an introverted personality.

Nose

The nose as you know comes in an almost infinity of sizes, but broadly speaking,

• A high, straight nose with a fleshy tip shows an amiable person with fellow feeling for all.

• An oversize nose tip is a direct link to a tendency towards violence.

• A hooked or aquiline nose shows an independent character and strong will.

• A turned up nose tip suggests an ability and a liking for mixing with people.

Mouth

The mouth is our main means for communication. The shape of our lips say a lot. A full top and thin bottom lip suggests someone who is very giving. The opposite suggests one who can’t reciprocate a relationship. Full, round lips show a sensitive and caring nature, while small lips indicate meanness. An upturned mouth suggests optimism, while a downturned mouth suggests pessimism.

Jawline

A strong jaw indicates strength of personality, stubbornness and a tendency to judge others too quickly. A weak chin suggests weakness of character and indecisiveness. An overly wide jawline indicates strong competitiveness and intolerance of losing.

As you can see there are ways in which you can judge what kind of person it is by observing their faces. While this is not an exact science, you should be able to get some clues, but try not to do it too openly. People may be put off by your intense stare, and start to shun you. Still keep at it and you could be able to get some clues about how that person works.
