Australian Designer Creates Super-Realistic CGI Person
It looks like a real person; yes it is difficult to believe that Australian Designer Chris Jones creates a super realistic CGI person. He has named his creation Mr. Head, or simply “Ed” in short. This comes as a big surprise for all those who do not believe in such invention.
Jones has been working since last few years to present a complete human body as accurately as possible and his hard work pays off when he was able to achieve it.
CGI technology has made such advancement that it is difficult to believe who is real and who is fake. One of the best examples of this the captain America: The Winter soldier, where the 31 year old Hayley Atwell was transformed into an old lady.
Computer technology has grown more advanced in the recent decades now we have reached a stage where technology collided with biology. Now we are trying to create a digital version of human faces which is something very interesting. The scientist has developed a way where to make artificial faces even more real.
The human brain is tuned to understand what a face is supposed to look like. Science is getting nearer to know the scientific aspect of mechanical process that is taking place in the body parts.
It turns out that modeling the reflection of light on the skin is extremely complicated because skin itself is complicated. Each simulated light source is split into four rays- one which bounces off the epidermis, and three others that penetrates the skin to a different depth before being scattered. The result is a more natural sheen with realistic shadows.
To make this technology really work, scientists also go through a deep study of the skin. Using a special scanner they took high resolution images of human skin from the volunteer’s cheek, chins and foreheads. Each pixel in the image contained an area of only 10 micrometers across. By this information, a single skin cell is only three pixels wide on average.
The scans were used to generate incredibly detailed 3D renders of skin. When combined with the new simulated lighting, the results are incredibly impressive. The CGI network of pores and bumps makes the face look almost real as the artificial light plays across them.
There has been intense interest from the game developers and Hollywood as this project has made such improvement. The CGI Blockbuster Avatar used a rudimentary version of the USC technology to make the blue skinned aliens more realistic.https://www.aartiinformatics.com/technology/australian-designer-creates-super-realistic-cgi-person/https://www.aartiinformatics.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/anigif_enhanced-9897-1412438563-9_preview.gifhttps://www.aartiinformatics.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/anigif_enhanced-9897-1412438563-9_preview-300x279.gifTECHNOLOGYWEIRDCGI technology, new technology, newest technology,super-realistic cgi person, technolgy, technology news, weird technology, what is CGI technologyIt looks like a real person; yes it is difficult to believe that Australian Designer Chris Jones creates a super realistic CGI person.
