The basic mechanism of losing fat is burning more calories per day than you eat. The safe limit is 500 calories. If you can accomplish that you will be losing about one pound of fat per week. Unfortunately, the body decides where it’s going to lose fat from. If you are doing a lot of sit-ups, you are probably losing fat without noticing it. You are also building up your stomach muscles under the layer of fat.

Having fewer calories

The best way ahead is to stop the reason you grew belly fat in the first place. Go on a proper diet program. Do not have processed food and sodas as they contain a lot of fat and/or sugar. Eat little or no fat. Cut down on the carbohydrates. Have a lot of fruit and vegetables and proteins. They contain a lot of nutrients and a lot of fiber which keeps the feeling of fullness longer. You need to start burning 500 calories more than you consume.

Regular exercise

Follow a standard exercise routine. Your aim should be about 150 minutes per week. That is the healthiest way. You will start losing the fat immediately, but not necessarily noticeably from your belly. This will keep you fit and healthy. Your belly may look the same, but the weighing machine will tell you the truth.

We don’t have a magic method to help you lose your belly fat in a month. You eat less calories than you use. Exercise moderately, to build up muscle mass to replace the fat you will be dropping. You can even do sit-ups. In fact sit-ups are an essential part of a balanced routine.
