Dodge Hellcat“Hellcat” has been a pretty evocative name for around 60 years. It started during the Second World War when Japan bombed Pearl Harbour, thus directly attacking USA. At that time Japan had complete air superiority as America had no aircraft which could match the Japanese Zero fighter in speed, agility and firepower. Out of this need the fearsome Grumman F6F Hellcat was born, initially starting life as the Hellcat XF6F. With both a supercharger and a turbocharger, this fighter owned the skies over the Pacific. It was as a tribute to this legendary fighter that in 2015, Chrysler created the 6.2Hemi V8Hellcat engine. It is a 6.4 liter supercharged Hemi head which runs the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat making it the most powerful production car in American history.

In standard configuration, the production car goes from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, does a standing quarter mile in 10.4 seconds and is capable of hitting a top speed of 199 mph. Such performance figures would look good on much more expensive makes and models. However, as if that was not enough, a bigger brother of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat has been revealed. It is the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat X.

Starting with the already fearsome stock Dodge Challenger Hellcat the Dream Giveaway Team has produced an even fiercer animal, the Challenger Hellcat X. The engine is the production model, but it is now equipped with boththe standard supercharger and twin Hellion turbochargers which pushes its power output from 707 hp to 800 hp. At the same time it produces an astonishing 800 lb-ft of torque, as compared to the 650 lb-ft produced from the standard Hellcat.

This car is probably the most powerful automobile in the world. Its acceleration and top speed is as yet to be tested on the track, but if its massive front splitter and rear spoiler are anything to go by, it will be FAST! It also has raw aluminum hood extractors, center hood scoop and chin spoiler and deck lid spoilerwhich are both adjustable and hand fabricated rear diffuser.. Though no performance figures are available, you can imagine it will be faster than the standard model.

And the best part of it is that it is one-off and absolutely free. It is featured in the Dream Giveaway 2015 Sweepstakes.
